Versatile Functionality
Software Testing and Validation
Lets you process the same batch of messages through two different sets of application software and reports exactly what has changed from one version to the other.
Link Testing
The Simulator not only communicates bi-directionality with your MTS applications using the CHIPS/SWIFT/FED links, but also communicates with ACI proprietary links like ISI , ISI2 and MTS ASI link (ASI traffic is inbound to MTS only). Such comprehensive communication abilities offer the following advantages:
- Frees you from paying for SWIFT and CHIPS testing time.
- Lets you introduce your own SWIFT traffic for a particular day versus using a tank file.
- Allows multiple area simultaneous sending and receiving of SWIFT, CHIPS, FED, ISI, or ISI2 traffic.
Benefits
- Faster, more accurate testing speeds newly developed software into production, helping you to realize the anticipated revenue streams generated.
- Dress Rehearsal and Volume Test preparation becomes faster and easier because of the tools provided for gathering test traffic, moving value dates, and manipulating amounts and references.
- Provides a true assessment of system performance when used in conjunction with the RGW Link by making test result comparisons immediately available for both the pre- and post-test phases.
- Introduce messages via the real MTS links instead of various utilities that inject messages into the process flow (usually into the mappers) after the link, enabling link routing tests, naking, and outbound formatting.
- The browser allows selective browsing/extracting of message traffic from either the production RGW or the local message repository.
- Achieve significant savings on CHIPS/SWIFT/FED fees for testing. Conventional testing of even normal daily message loads can easily run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
- Quick implimentation for testing new sources is as easy as creating an extra link rather than modifying input utilities.
- Typically, you can have only one connection to CHIPS/SWIFT/FED at a time. Using the Simulator, all interfaces are up in all areas all the time and each area can use connectivity any time it's needed.
- Provides timely flow of messages via links by allowing message introduction at exactly the same time it happened during the production day, emulating the traffic load and, more accurately, simulating the real production environment.
- The auto-repair module lets you perform data entry, repair, and verification operations without having to use QA personnel.
